ABOUT ME
Throughout my high school years, I have displayed commitment to my school through staying active in extra curricular activities and maintaining straight A’s. My involvement in over 20 clubs throughout 4 years has shown me a piece of the real world. As well as my GPA has paid off and I have received various awards. Being ranked number 10 in my class, being chosen as a Triple A Award recipient multiple times, U.S Border Patrol Youth of the Month, Texas Association of Journalism Education recipient, District 6-A Volleyball All Academic Team, La Estrela del Deporte all in my senior year have given me the confidence to further my education.
The characteristics that I have gained through out high school will carry on with me to college and allow me to exceed. Staying focused on my studies have taught me that with an education anything is possible. I am positive that I will be fine on the academic side but not the financial side.
With the time I have left in this city, I plan to continue doing volunteer work. However, in the near future I aspire to return and donate to various charities and business in my city. I plan to return to my community and help others with my knowledge gained through earning a business degree as well. Many people here cannot receive good a education so I hope to be their light in a dark tunnel. Being able to help others in my community succeed is one of my biggest goals. Overall, a priority goal of mine is to never forget where I came from and always stay devoted to helping the place I grew up in seek a better tomorrow.
Having the background that I have will only push me to further my education and make a name for my community and myself. Being from Laredo has taught me valuable lessons that I will always carry with me.My mindset and aspirations are in full focus and I plan to reach them despite a bumpy road. I have done what I believe is just necessary to do and gained success from them.
